Today is the day : Monte Carlo here I come :)

Taking a different route through the mountains i.s.o. along the coast !
Guess why ? !

It still is the best road trip as far as driving is concerned.
So despite the clogged nose and ears, Im having a great time driving.

Entering Monte Carlo proper I get the same feeling I get with every big city.
What the hell !!!!!!
Everybody is concentrating on their own schedule and forget to look at the surroundings.

At least every local is.
The tourists stop everywhere they can or can't actually.

Finding the circuits streets isn't to hard but you have to pay attention anyway.
Because without the barriers to guide you the different parts are a bit hidden in the crowd.

And some parts are private roads with about 20 signs that restrict access.
At least the part just leading up to the tunnel is closed and guarded it seems.
Maybe because at the harbor there was a party or convcention of some sorts......

But still the main straight, the two preceding corners and the uphill part are in regular use and the red/white markers are a dead giveaway they are part of the track.

And yes the part after the main straight is a proper hill, you just can not get that from TV or the game play.

But the best driving was the patr coming to and even better leaving Monte Carlo and just going up and down the hills in this area.

Some amazing views too of which I only took a few pictures.
Some of the sights don't translate well to paper you have to see them for yourself.
Maybe 3D pictures could convey some of the impression it makes but I guess real life beats 3D anytway.

I'll upload I few of te shots after I finish writing this.

Yesterday and tomorrow are part of the rest phase of this holiday so I'll skip those in my report.
Just hanging around the hotel and catching up on some TV series I recorded but haven't watched yet. ;)
